Carroll Bank & Trust is seeking a motivated, sales-oriented individual for a Mortgage Loan Originator position in our Martin branch. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a passion for helping customers achieve their homeownership goals, and the ability to develop new business opportunities within the Weakley County community.

Responsibilities and Qualifications Include:

• Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with prospective borrowers, real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources to generate mortgage loan business.
• Mortgage Loan Origination: Meet with prospective borrowers to discuss their home financing needs, explain available mortgage products, and assist them in identifying appropriate loan options.
• Loan Application Process: Guide applicants through the mortgage loan process, including completing applications, gathering required documentation, and communicating loan status updates.
• Sales and Business Development: Actively seek new mortgage lending opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, and other business development activities.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service throughout the mortgage process by maintaining consistent communication with borrowers, referral partners, and internal bank employees.
• Organization and Time Management: Maintain accurate loan files, manage deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively handle multiple loan applications at various stages of the process.
• Compliance and Accuracy: Follow applicable mortgage lending regulations, bank policies, and established procedures while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

Experience in secondary market mortgage lending is preferred but not required. The individual must be self-motivated and a team player willing to get involved in the community to promote Carroll Bank & Trust and our secondary market mortgage lending team.
